Drooling

Does anyone have a Rott, that drools, especially when cold outside...has water driblling out of their mouth after drinking, etc? Just curious, as Zeus is a major slobber dog. Everytime I he starts drinking water, I start laughing, becasue I know my lap is going to get wet :D

Re: Drooling

maverick's a drooler, but only when he thinks he's getting food or when he's really excited. i'm glad he doesn't drool 100% of the time, tho, because i don't think i could deal with it.

as for after the water dish, i purposely stay away from him because i know i'll get slimed if i don't. :)

Re: Drooling

HAHA! Rocky's got a underbite-(from his boxer side?) and whoa-WATCH out when he's drinking water. My floor looks like someone took a bucket of water and sloshed it everywhere. Then, he thinks it cool to come up and rub his chin on your lab. Silly boy. Then, he's taught Victoria-my husky who doesn't have a underbite-to go to your lab and drip water on you!!!! Silly girl!

Re: Drooling

Keil is a horrible drooler. I try to stay away from him especially after a drink of water. He enjoys sliming anyone close to him. When I am in the kitched getting their dinner ready he starts drooling VERY bad.

Akasha rarely drools. Sometimes there will be a little drool after she drinks some water but not like her brother.

Re: Drooling

My female was never as messy as Zeus, either. He'll especially do this, if we're going out or if I have a meeting of some type, where I'm dressed nice.

Re: Drooling

Brodie is a drooler too. He mainly drools when he sitting waiting for the "OK" to eat, or if one of us has something to eat. And when he takes a drink it's like Niagra Falls when he lifts his head. He has an under-bite also, so he makes a mess when drinking.

Re: Drooling

I can get Rusty to drool on command. All I have to say is "Audrey" (that's my daughter's name). She's the one who feeds him. He'll drool no matter where he is when I say her name to him. But talk about drool ...... My sons Boxer!

Re: Drooling

Years ago, we had a drooler. Seemed like he saved water in his mouth after a drink, just so he could deposit it in your lap! (kinda like a kid at the water fountain) Our girl. now has a pretty dry mouth. Those flews are nice and tight, and our laps are nice and dry.

Re: Drooling

Rocco is messy with his water - I think because he walks away from the dish still having a mouthful. Other than that, he really doesn't drool. Perle, on the other hand, just sits and salivates anytime you're eating something. My son told me he almost got me up one night because he thought she was foaming at the mouth and something was wrong with her. I asked him if he was eating something - yes, of course he was. I just started laughing and told him she was just drooling. :D

Re: Drooling

No droolers here. Though I've seen 'em! :D And I as long as I don't already have one, I'd rather not. Hmm...?? Hope our spring pup has those nice tight flews that Sable has. (Don't worry! I'd have to love her anyway, I'm such a sap ;) )

Re: Drooling

No droolers here either unless we're on a really bumpy, curvy car ride & Julius is feeling a bit ill. :D

Ugggh, I sooooo know what you mean!!!! Julius does this also. I stepped in one of his puddles of water beside his water dish the other day. Had to change socks.

:)

Re: Drooling

LOL! How funny! Yes, Kodi is famous for getting a big drink of water and then putting his face in your lap....When I hear him drinking I know what's next in line! Ohh, so refreshing! :p
