Sad indeed.

Unfortunately, I doubt it much matters if he were "much of a fighter".... if he was stolen as a bait dog, he'd undoubtedly be used anyway.... and if he was stolen to protect nefarious happenings, they'd likely try to beat him to make him mean.

Makes me ill.

Oh God that is really awful.it must be like losing a child when that happens. It's not only the poor family that suffer, but the poor dog won't have a clue what's going on either. Some people are just so sick to do this sort of thing

How sad. I can't imagine.

However, a locked door won't stop anyone who really wants to get in.:(

This is so sad. Makes me really glad Sajan is not the type of dog to trust strangers.

So sad. I really hope they find the dog, it is unthinkable what these animals go through at the hands of such thugs....................:(

Bucky would show them where the treats are - ask if they wanted to use the computer - and GLADLY go for a ride in the car with ANYBODY - we will be sure to LOCK up from NOW on!

This is my worst nightmare. It is a serious possiblity in our neighborhood, whenever Wookie is left "alone" (there's always at least someone sleeping in our house) she is behind locked doors and a security system that makes obnoxious noises and the police are called the instant any door in the house is opened. It gives me a little peace of mind, but what if they broke in and took Wook and ran before the cops got there? I'm such a worry wart, but I just can't help it.

Just did a search in Google under "dog fighting" to learn more about this.

Probably was not a good idea for me to do that. There are tons of sites with pictures and it is one of the most heart breaking things I have seen.

It makes me want to actively do something (like go to these events so I can be a NARC and work with the police) to stop this. Than again that would probably mean me having to watch a few fights and I doubt I could stomach that.

They say that dog fighting is so common and it happens in every city. So I wonder why its so hard to find these events.

This is really one of my greatest fears. I live in a pretty nice neighborhood in the city, but it's not so far away from some not-so-nice neighborhoods. There has been more than once that someone has shown more than casual interest in my dog when I'm walking her home and I've just kept on walking past my house so that they don't know where we live.

:( Sad that I have to think that way, but I've heard of more than one Pit Bull or Rottie taken out of their home.

This is my worst nightmare, too. Worse than cancer. I can't imagine the heartache of not knowing where my dog is or what is happening to her. I don't put any cute "Rottweiler Crossing" type signs up, and I never, ever leave Luna alone in my car. The fewer people who know I have a Rottie, the better. My heart goes out to Trey and his owner.
