| VERY proud of my girl After spending the past two weeks confined to the house due to kennel cough, Akasha and Keil were finally able to go back to class tonight. Tonight was one of our handling classes. I don't usually go on Monday nights because I work. Tonight it just so happened that I had off work and was able to go. Our handler is the one who handles them during these classes (my daughter and I do the obedience classes). I was just going tonight to watch and learn. Keil's class was first and he did very well especially considering the fact that he has been housebound for the past two weeks. There was only three dogs in Akasha's class. Akasha and two itty bitty Pomeranian puppies. Everyone was busy stacking their dogs and things were going great. Akasha was just getting ready to do the down and back when the little Pomeranian bitch saw her for the first time and started barking at her. As Akasha trotted past her the Pom was growling and barking like she wanted to tear Akasha apart. Akasha was such a GOOD girl! As they passed she glanced over at the Pom and then proceeded to ignore her for the remainder of the class. The Pom continued to bark and growl at Akasha thru most of the class. It made me very proud to hear the instructor tell the Pom owner that she was lucky Akasha had such a good temperment:D At the end of class the Pom owner asked if she could try and introduce her pup to Akasha. Akasha was more than happy to visit with the little fluff ball. She laid on her belly and crawled over to the Pom (wiggling her nub the entire time) who actually came up and sniffed her. The Pom puppy was only 3 months old so I think she was more afraid of Akasha than anything. Akasha was such a good girl and she tried really hard to get the Pom to play with her (she is used to playing with our 6 pound Poodle/Brussles X). I can't tell you enough how proud I was of my girl tonight:D My last Rottie bitch was VERY dog aggressive so it has been extremely important to me to do everything I could to help make sure that Akasha is not like that. I know that she is still a puppy and things can change, but Delilah was like that from the time she was 6 months old so I am very hopeful that Akasha won't be the same way. Of course Akasha and Keil have been around many different dogs and Delilah had not. It was great to hear the instructor and my handler tell everyone what a good temperment my girl has. It made me very proud and I just had to share.;)

| Yay for Akasha! Sounds like she has a wonderful, stable approach to life. (Poms can be little terrors, from what I understand. One day I want a little bitty dog, and Poms are just so cute plus they come in Rottweiler black & tan. :) I've been researching them a bit.) Eww, kennel cough. Do the dogs sleep in your room and if so did you get any sleep?

| I don't balme you for being proud! I would be too. :) WTG AKASHA! Just keep up that positive PR, for us. We just started some classes again. We have lots of sizes! From Irish Woflhound to JRT's! And we're not the "only" Rottie, either.
