"Parade" article in Sunday's paper

There was an article in this past sunday's (nov 2) paper about homeowner' insurance. Went on about not having certain breeds of dogs (pits, rotts, Gsheps) and then used a picture at the bottom of the article of a snarling rott with a studded collar on.
With "help" like this, we are never going to get this wonderful breed the break it needs. Not sure where to complain about this article too, but im writing "parade" and ask them if they write articles like this PLEASE dont post such negative pics, its ruining all the hard work we do.

I wrote them a letter too. You can e-mail them from that website. Thanks for posting this. I hope others write in as well.

I couldn't find the article. Could you be more clear on how to find it?

The article is not online (from what I can tell). Its in the newspaper.

To send an e-mail to them you have to register online (its free) then hit the contact us link and write the letter and then select "letter to the editor"

Its great to talk about it in this forum, but I think it will have much more of an impact if we all write to them. It is really easy to do.

I told them that they are fueling fear and paranoia through their pictures. I invited them to come to my house and meet my dogs.

I told them that isurance companies should evaluate individual dogs and not a breed and the AKC can do that for them through the Canine Good Citizen certification.

I read the article and saw the disturbing picture. It's very unfair.

I took the initiative and wrote a letter. I too invited them to meet my dogs. Including my SchutzhundI dog.

while a boycott isn't possible it is possible to present a more accurate image of the Rottweiler. The vast majority of Rottweilers don't attack or bite or kill. Most are wonderful pets and companions.

I agree and wrote a letter to the editor as well. That picture was very unfair. I mentioned that stereotyping isn't fair and they could come meet the apple of my eye. People just rely upon misconceptions and don't take the time to see their gentle and comical side. Thank you for posting the web page!
