Hi there....I take my two dogs out everynight to the fenced in park near my house. We play with the tennis ball for about 30 minutes or so. Within 20 minutes, Kodi is pretty tired, but Lucky is just getting started. After playing ball, I will usually walk with the dogs for about 15 minutes for a cool down. They both have a blast....

I would think that two walks a day would be fine for Simba... I really feel that exercise plays a very important role in the life of a happy rottie.

Sara:)

Seems like I remember spending about that much time on a walk, altogether at that age. Then we spent some time fetching, playing catch, etc on a long lead. Training is a lifelong process. I don't think you can ever do it too much.

We do more now that she is older, like hiking, biking, and swimming. I like to take long walks around one of the local lakes with a long lead. She trots a lot, while I get to walk leisurely.

That's about the length of the walks that Julius would get during the day. Sometimes a lesiurely hour long walk in the morning and then a half hour long walk in the afternoon. Plus some additional time in the yard playing or a trip to the fenced-in baseball field for a romp with the basketball.

Colby gets to run around and play fetch, or whatever for an hour or so daily. Otherwise he walks for an hour or so. He is 9 months old today, and I feel like all the exercise helps keep him slim and trim, he is a rock.
