Anxiety wrap update...

This is an update on this thread:
http://rottweiler.net/forums/showthr...threadid=28666

I've had it for a little over week now, and all I can say is WOW! I am not sure how or why it works - but it really, really does work.
Daphne calms way down...doesn't jump, sleeps through the night without licking the carpet obsessively for hours, doesn't pace and pant. I've been obeserving her pretty closely with it on and with it off, and it's definitely not my imagination.

The clincher - last night I was able to trim every single nail on all four feet without the usual wiggling, yanking of paws, and so on. I rolled her over on her side and did them all in a few minutes. Woohoo. :)

She doesn't mind wearing it one bit, and is quite agreeable to me having to roll it over her head and get her paws through the leg holes.

I would definitely recommend this thing for people with fearful, anxious, or hyper dogs. For Daphne's size it was $70.00 with shipping, and well worth it.

I'm going to take some pictures of her in her cute little suit! :) I got the black one, she looks quite svelte in it.

Wow ! I am so glad it worked for her Carina :) That might be the ticket for my Maggie too ...I'll have to watch for your picture and give this some serious thought...it would sure be worth every penny if it worked like it has for your girl.

Jory - it depends. There's been a couple of days when she's worn it all day, and she doesn't seem to mind it one bit. Otherwise I put it on her in the evenings - she seems to like it. She sits and raises her paws now so I can put it on her.

She's not wearing it right now, but I think I'll put it on! She's having one of her obessive "licking the carpet" nights...

It's not restricting at all, though I imagine it might get a bit hot in summer or whatever. She runs and plays just fine.

Thanks Carina:)
How quickly does it seem to have an effect when you put the wrap on her ? I am thinking this would be great for Maggie...she has times when she is very nervous..like windy days outside for walks and when we go for a drive, sometimes she gets hyper....things like that.

Honestly, she calms down the minute I put it on. I mean, it's not like a sedative or anything! Just mellows her a little; she appears a bit more relaxed, not quite as reactive.

Too bad we're not neighbors, Daphne would be happy to loan it to Maggie for a test run!
