Genetics plays a big factor in how big your pup will eventually be but my male rottie was about that size at a year old. He is now 25 inches tall and 100 lbs. and attained his full height by 15 months of age.:)

Best way to know: Look at his parents. :)

I wouldn't imagine he'll get much taller, maybe an inch or so. He could fill out for another couple of years, it's hard to say how much he'll gain though.

Genetics (hence looking at the parents ) play a big part. Don't let him get overweight! Either he's got REAL heavy bones, or he could be a tad on the heavy side now.

I have two adult males - one 27"/ 105lbs. The other 26"/90-95lbs. They are pretty buff dogs :), but I wouldn't want them any heavier. Keeping them lean (able to feel every single rib quite easily) is MUCH better for them.

That is so true!:)

Keil is 27 1/2" and weighs 90 pounds. He is a little on the thinner side since he lost weight while Akasha was in heat and is slowly putting it back on. He needs to gain another 5 - 10 pounds and I think he look really good. We are keeping our fingers crossed that he doesn't get any taller since he is already a little over the standard.

Akasha is 23" and weighs 70 pounds. Akasha is at a good weight. When she was at the vets today they said she looked really good and not to let her gain any weight.

I think that both of my puppies are done growing height wise, now it will be interesting to see how they fill out. I have really enjoyed watching them grow and can't wait to see the "finished product":D

My male weighed 106 lbs at 12 months old and was 26 inches tall. He is now five years old, 26 1/2 inches tall and 120 lbs.
His half sister was 23 inches tall at 12 months old and around 75 lbs. She is now three and half years old 24" tall and weighs 84 lbs.
both of my dogs have heavy bone and heavy muscle for their height. Both of them gained an inch in height and give or take 10 new lbs.
From your post, if I had to guess..........I would say he could grow another inch and probably weigh around 105 lbs. It realy depends on how fat or lean you keep him and genetics.

By the way, my male is bigger than his dad and passes on size. So, you can't always go by the sire of your dog but study the entire bloodline and look at all the males to get an educated idea.

True - the dog I have whose sire & dam I'm familiar with is quite a bit smaller than his sire. Both parents were on the large side (within standard) and very well put together dogs.
Not that he's small, by any means! And he's got his daddy's head. :)
