Insurance Policies

Does anyone know of any insurance companies which will insure me with the dog? I live in Connecticut, do not have a Rottweiler yet, have some good dogs in mine, but can not procede until I find a policy. What the Insurance companies are doing should be against the law. I do not know about you but in my area you call the police and they take for ever to come. But the safety of my family does not mean nothing to these companies because they can't make a buck from it. If you have guns you pay more... if you have a dog (real dog) you get dropped. If someone breaks into my home and kills me and my family, who will pay the premiums then! I think it's time to write my Congressman / Senator and see what's their view on the matters.

State Farm

Call State Farm - I live in CT and, after a 2 month search and ENDLESS calls to what seemed like a million companies, I found State Farm.

Not only do they insure home with rotties, they do not discrimiate against any BREEDS...but against DEEDS...if you have a Chihuahua and a Rottie, and the Chihuahua bites someone...you're probably going to get the 'non-renewal letter' when it's time to renew the policy.

Where in CT are you located??

Hey neighbor! Glad to help - I'm in Oxford, probably about 15-20 minutes from Waterbury. Good to know of other rott.net folk in the state!!

Where do you go for training?? If in need of suggestions, I've got a great list of places!!

Hi Mom,
again thanks for the help... don't have the dog yet but when I do (next few weeks) I will be in need of some trainers...

Oxford... I think I get my fishing bait down there... Valley Sports or something like that.
