i save all the plastic bags from the grocery store and clean up maverick's spot (he only goes in one spot and isn't allowed to just leave his deposits wherever he feels like it) every couple of days and leave the bags outside until garbage day.... i bet our trash man loves us between the dog poop and baby diapers! :). anyway, i looked at one of those doggie doolies as well but living in NE ohio, it's about 40 degrees or below for almost 1/2 the year so it's not very practical!!!! :D :D :D

meet little old ladies in supermarkets...

I was shopping in our local supermarket this morning when I said an absent-minded "hello" to an elderly neighbour. Next thing I heard:

"Here! Gladys! This is the young man <bless her - I'm looking forward to 47 next year> I was telling you about. You knows three big dogs and all so clean. (to me - ) I tells everybody about you. Hardly anybody else cleans up after their dogs and I never saw you not clean up. Trying to shame them into cleaning up, I am. Wish they were all like you..."

True story - now I know why so many people say hello when I'm walking the dogs...

A word of caution.

Those green lids blend in with the grass.

Get several days of rain and growth + an eager husband with a new mower and those suckers FLY!
