How does your dog pee?????

Just wondering... :)

I was at my mom's house and she saw my dog pee. He just kinda stands there and pees. Not lifting a leg or swatting. He also puts his head up like he is competing for the best peeing award or something. Is he normal?

HeHeHe...I know this sounds stupid but I was just wondering!!!

Sophie barely squats.

Lucy practically touches the ground when she squats!

Athena also almost touches the ground. Disel started whipping his leg up about 4 weeks ago when he turned 7 months. Just one day clear out of the blue, BAM. He now alternates between standing on all fours and lifting the leg.

Dre either slightly squats, stands there, or puts his front legs in the yard and keeps his back legs on the deck and gets the yard, the deck and front legs.

Before Sebastian "perfected" lifting his leg, he would walk up to one of the trees that line our street, look at me to be sure I was watching, and then lift the WRONG leg. He ended up peeing all over the sidewalk instead.

I'm happy to say, he's much more coordinated now.;)

Ben will do that occassionally - I call it his 'walking whizz'...no pee on the front leg though. He normally lifts his leg VERY high...I swear sometimes he rests it on whatever he is peeing on (tree, trash can, etc... ).

One of our females will squat AND lift a leg....now that's TALENT!

My Diva used to do that too. Even in her old age, she could always muster that squatting three-legged pee. :)

Tasha learned to lift her leg from Diva (at least I think she did) and she lifts her leg about half of the time.

Janosch still puppy pees and its 50/50 whether or not he'll pee on his front legs.

Phoebe used to do the squatting + lifting thing too! She was as bad as the boys. Daphne gets her heinie way close to the ground.

Both boys have great leg lift. Both will do the vigorous kicking-back thing after a particularly emphatic pee. :D

Julius actually did this tonight at agility when I took him out for a few minutes. I had never seen him do it before (minus the peeing on the front leg....). But he was just like, "Hmmm, I'll lift my left....no, my right....um, wait....my left leg." Crazy dog. Sometimes he still squats though....

:)
