Help! Found a lost Rottweiler

A Rottweiler has found a new home in my work place's parking lot. She's really friendly and doesn't seem to be a bit food aggressive. She's very skinny and needs some fattening up.

I'd take her home and try to find her a new home in a heartbeat, but the problem is ... she's recently had pups and I have no way of knowing how long ago or anything. I've not seen any sign of the pups.

How can you tell if she's still feeding pups? I'd hate to take the mom and the pups slowly starve to death. :(

Hmm, I really dont know, but if she is staying in your parking lot for hours on end, I would think she doesnt have any pups to feed. Milk dripping would be a good sign that maybe she IS still feeding, I just dont know. Maybe try and follow her when and if she leaves?

I'll try. The problem has been ... she's out there when I go to lunch, but when I get off she's no where to be found. But if I can, I'll be 'Sherlock Kat'.

Well if you do, and you see she has pups, do not let her know till you find help to get her and the pups. She might relocate them if she feels they are in danger. And she might not be as sweet as she is in that parking lot either.....

Update to the story ....

We finally decided she was pregnant ... it was hard to tell since she was so thin, but her stomach & sides pouched out. We started feeding her while trying to find her a home. Our first try fell through and then the big boss said was had to call the pound. Hunting her a home went into high gear.

Over the weekend one of the lady's husband picked up the rottweiler. They've since taken her to the vet and other than being malnourished, she's in good shape. She's been to basic training sometime in the past because she knows her basic commands (I hope the vet scanned her to make sure she didn't have a chip implanted). The vet thinks she's about 2 years old. She is pregnant and should deliver in about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks again. :)

I'm so glad to hear she is off the streets. You and your co-workers are angels.
