Homeowners insurance in Massachusetts I was just reading the thread about homeowners insurance. When I bought my house I had only a Boston terrier. Never told the agent about getting Buddy (rott/GSD mix) and Cleo (rott). Now I'd like to come clean so to speak. Called HQ of my insurance company and they do not cover people with Rotts. Called a few places with expected response. State farm does not take new customers from Mass. One guy told me to call mass fair housing, which I will do tomorrow. He said not many insurance carriers in Mass. will cover Rotts. Anyone have homeowners insurance in Massachusetts that will cover rotts with no bite history? Thanks, -Beth G

I know you said that State Farm isn't taking new customers in Mass, but if your auto policy is with them then you aren't new. I'd check with whoever has your auto policy whether it's SF or not. Christine

I have the Mass Fair Plan. It isn't that much more than regular insurance. I might switch to MetLife. I can get that through work and they will cover me so you might want to give them a try. Good Luck!
