Eating grass!!

My 5 month old eats grass every time he goes outside. Just comes out the other end so I don't know if there is any harm in it :)

Yes, yes, yes. I really don't think it's unusual. I think it helps them to digest their food better, or something like that. The weird thing, is the past couple days Carl's been eating dandelions.

I think it is very common behavior both my GSD and Rott have always eaten grass the only thing you really have to keep an eye on is not to to let them eat grass after you or your neighbor has fertilized. This can become a very big problem.

Our golden retriever eats gras like it was candy, and i have heard something about it cleaning their stomacks (neutrolizing it or something). I have only heard this from some friends and dont know if this i the case. But it has never been a problem for our Lucy, she has been doing this for the nine years she has lived. :)

My boy eats grass, too. (A little salad before our walkie!)

I've heard eating dirt means they're deficient in minerals -- but I don't know that for a fact. (Could be one of those old wives' tales for all I know.)

(They'll also eat their poo, kitty "tootsie rolls", and just about anything else gross!)
