Home Again ID Tag

I had my fur baby microchipped yesterday. The vet gave me an enrollment form and a rubbery id tag with the Home Again phone number and an id number on it. The id number seems to be ink. I hope those of you using Home Again know what I'm talking about.

Here are my questions: Do I put the Home Again id tag on his collar with the rest of his tags? Is the ink id number fairly durable, or should I invest $5.95 and get the Home Again phone number and the id number put on something that is more permanent?

I can always stick the new tag on his collar and just wait and see how it goes, but I figured someone out here in Rottie Land would have been through this already! :D

Thanks!

Christine

I've had the yellow rubber tag on the collar for a couple years, and the numbers didn't rub away. :)

I too have the yellow tag, but have only had it for a few months. So far so good. :)

I never use those tags. I get a stainless steel tag that says
"I am microchipped. If found call AKC CAR at 1-800-252-7894"
