Was just looking at our online newspaper for St. Petersburg, FL and came
across a story titled "Pair Charged after dog dragged behind truck."ÿ

What got me was the last paragraph..."...Polk County Animal Services
will decide whether the dog will be kept and put up for adoption or
returned to the owner..."

Ummmm, the father of the owner of the dog is one of the men charged with
this crime and they are considering returning it to the owner??? ÿ
Not if I can help it.ÿ

Please cross post this message....especially to the german shepherd
lists/boards.ÿ This was a one-year old GSD pup that was dragged for
800 feet behind this pickup truck and has road burn over it's entire
body. ÿ
Let your opinions be known....call Polk County Animal Services at
863-499-2600 and let them know the the internet world is watching and we
expect them to do the right thing!!!! ÿ
