Online Pet Supplies

Hi everyone!

I love a good bargain (like everyone else:D ) I was just wondering when you order online where do you order from. I have been ordering from UPCO. When we got Julius I went online & ordered quite a few pet supply catalogs. Once they all arrived I compared prices & UPCO seemed to beat them all price-wise. We ordered quite a few things from them & were pleased with their service. I'm just wondering if there are any other "good deal" websites that you order from for dog supplies. We've given up on Petco. Waaaaay too expensive. Everything is so much more there. Thanks!

I like Drs.Foster & Smith. Don't know Upco, so I can't compare.

UPCO is great. I usually don't order from catalogs, but when I have to it's UPCO that always has the cheapest prices!

Hi Brooke, I order derm caps and we just received a bed for Czar from jbpet. The bed we just got in the mail less than a week after we ordered is fantastic. It's called Bolster Bed and it's great bc the outside cover is washable and the zippered inner liner can be refilled if needed. We got the 50 in. in hunter green. We only had it a couple days and we're still trying to get Czar to lay on it;) . He lays next to it and uses it as a pillow and sometimes lays on it but not like we'd like. I guess in time as he gets use to it that he will know it is his and his to lay on:D. This is his special bed, not one I'd put in the crate bc it's too big anyway and much too expensive. I wonder if anyone else here has that same bed.

Judy---

Lucky Czar! I actually wouldn't mind one of those bolster beds to lounge around on. They look VERRRY comfy. Hopefully he'll get used to it soon. :)

I would love to buy Julius a bed but he seems to enjoy his crate for resting & I'm not sure if he would lay on a bed or not. I can see us getting him one further on down the road. We have been using old towels in his crate right now which he has been munching on. I think I would be scared to get him a bed. We'll see. I'm just waiting Julius to turn six months since that seems to be the "magic age" for the chewing-mania to begin.:p Once we get through that....we'll start checking out beds. :)

delila, those are all great sites. I just placed an order with UPCO the other day. They have great deals on toys! I found that Healthypets.com has the best deal on Frontline Plus Red. They charge $107.40 for a 12 month supply!

I shop at:

http://www.adamspetsupplies.com

http://www.petfooddirect.com

http://www.petfoodexpress.com

http://www.waggintails.com

http://www.jefferspet.com

I have to add

Thank you for all of the great links! Ryan sat me down last night & said that I need to stop buying Julius so many toys. He has three baskets full of them. Buuuuttt...they really do keep him occupied & they're so much fun to buy. It felt like an intervention..."Brooke you just need to cut back on the dog toys." :p Oh well, I have an order from UPCO arriving on Wednesday so that'll give me my dog toy fix for the week. :D

Anyways---I visited all of these sites and ordered catalogs. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. We're crate shopping right now since Julius will need a new crate probably by the end of summer (we're borrowing one right now from family) so I'm searching for a good price.

Brooke, I got Rajah's cage through jefferpet.com and think I got a good deal. I got the all metal one that folds flat (they call it the suitcase style). We needed a folding one since we take it with us when we travel. It fits right on top on the van. We got the biggest one they have and Rajah loves her home. She goes in there at night and in the daytime to nap. I think it helps that she has a nice pillow that she loves in there too.

Oh Brooke, I know how you feel! I used to want to buy Elsa every toy that I saw. She still does have quite a few but now I put most of them up and we rotate them to keep it interesting.

I buy nearly everything from Upco or Jeffers. Their prices are great and they both have great customer service. We purchased Elsa's fold-down crate from Upco...it was a good price and no shipping/handling.

Good luck cutting down on your puppy shopping!:p

Ahh yes---puppy shopping! Sooo fun! I had a breakdown the other night in Wal-Mart because I went into their clearance aisle & what did they have dramatically reduced???? Booda Velvets! For $2 instead of the 5ish dollars you'll pay somewhere else. Needless to say Julius' puppy cupboard is pretty full. :D

Now I'm just trying to hold myself back from the other Wal-Mart on the other side of town wondering what dog toys they may have dramatically reduced. :p But hey....at those prices you just HAVE to buy them....

I use Care-A-Lot Pet Supply Warehouse. They have great prices and fast shipping. I recently bought a double door metal crate that arrived 5 days after ordering online. It's like Costco for pets. They are located in VA.

We order from PetEdge alot and I've always been pleased with their service and prompt delivery. Additionally - you cant beat the best buys they have monthly - you'll never pay over a buck for a plush toy again!!!
