Car Harness

Hey everyone!

Ryan & I are going to be ordering some stuff from UPCO today (I loooove that place....the shipping price goes down as the amount gets higher not up.:D Gotta love that) Anyway we want to get a car harness for Julius & we're thinking about the Easy Rider Car Harness. HERE Do any of you have this for your dogs? Have you had luck with it or have you found that another brand of harness works well? I've searched the archives for info. & I found that some people have found that the Batzi (sp?) belt works well too but that's just a clip that is put onto the harness correct? Any info. would be welcome. We would like to order the stuff today.

Thanks everyone!
:)

harness

I don't remember the brand of my harnesses, but they look the same as the one you're considering and they work very well.

Hi Brooke,

I think I posted before about the Batzi belt that clips onto the Easy Rider. That combo works well, but they are not crash tested. I am planning to buy what I now consider to be the top-of-the-line crash tested seatbelts once I get my tax return. They are made by Canine Automotive Restraint Equipment , and although they are a little more expensive, they are much better made and worth the $$.

Daisy loves her Easy Rider, size large. As soon as I pick it up, she knows we are going in the CAR!!!! Wiggle wiggle hooray hooray!

She now weighs almost 90 pounds and I bought it for her when she was only about 55 or 60 lbs. The amount of adjustment in the straps and buckles is very generous. :D

I use a harness I got at Petsmart for Riven when we travel. I've been very happy with it. He's worn it since he was six months old and he's now five.

Whole Dog Journal had an article on the best seatbelts. You may want to see about buying the article, or seeing if someone will post the results that the Whole Dog Journal found. I believe it was the May 2001 issue.

I'm at work right now, so I can't check and see if this is an issue I have or not.
