Eating deer feces!

Why is it that my girl loves to eat deer feces? When she goes for walks she also loves to roll around in it.

Normal dog behaviour. Some dogs roll and others don't. Most dogs like deer poop. :D I had to tell my female "no" for 3 years before she stopped rolling in the poop. Wait till they roll in the bear poop, ewwww stink!

In the stretch of forest we use there is turkey, deer and (most unfortunately) cat poop a plenty. I have to make sure I do not have after-walk plans that preclude a bath. Gypsy rolls in it and eats it. On our next vet visit I will ask if she needs any special worming.

Semms all dogs have a "thing" about eating cat poop! One of my dogs, became pretty sick after doing this, he had a quite severe gastric infection. Now, I make sure they don't get in it again!, that was enough for me, not to mention him, but of course, he had no idea what made him ill!!
