Great rescue group : Rott-n-Rascal & Great Rottie Person : Norma Dikeman

Hi there. As some of you know I have a 4 month old Rottie boy named Baggio. He is from Rott-N-Rascall Rescue in Allentown PA. I wanted to tell you all how I found them and how great they were. I was reading a magazine I bought called Rottweiler Quarterly and saw an interview with a breeder named Norma Dikeman. I noticed that she had the same area code as me and decideded to give her a call. I have never met someone so knowledgable and eager to enlighten as Norma. I debated getting one of her last puppies she had studded but since it was a female I passed as my female can sometime have problems with other itches. She gave the number of Rott-N-rascal and away I went.

RnR was a dream. They were very thourogh in the process but were incredible helpful and seemed to have a lot of hte same philosophies in dogs (BARF, Vaccinations etc). I live 8 hours away from Allentown as I am In Buffalo, NY but it was well worth the ride up there. RnR gave me a great care package including food, collar, leash, photo album and a couple stuffed toys. They also included some blankets the pups had slept on to remind Baggio of home. There was one more person in the area who got a pup and unfortunately there was home trouble and somehow the pup got taken to the SPCA. After the treatment I recieved from RnR I had no problem getting the pup and fostering him for a couple weeks.

After getting the pup both RnR and Norma have been incredible helpful. I love this forum and use it all the time (the archives have so much good info!) but sometimes it is nice to talk to another voice on the phone. Norma also lead me to a grat training club in the area called Southtown's working Dog's club. Baggio and I have started our first (for him) clicker class. I just wanted to say how nice it is to have great Rottie people like the Rott N Rascal Rescue group and Norma Dikeman around. If I ever do get a pup outside of rescue I would seriously consider one of Norma's. Anybody have pups from Rott-n-Rascal or Nordike? I love to hear from you. Sorry for the long post.

Mike
