Flyball

Does anyone do flyball with their dog? Does anyone know of anywhere in the northern St. Paul/Mpls suburbs that has flyball training?
Spike's whole reason for living is to chase and catch tennis balls, racing at top speed. I thought this would be fun.

oh, I think it would be fun, too! Tornado lives for the ball! We can hide it from him, and he will do everything he can to get his ball. He even brings it to bed in the middle of the night for hubby to throw. I've seen flyball on TV, but don't know any specoifics. All the teams I've seen were the same breed of dogs. Is this a mandatory thing, or can any dog do it? Tornado would thrive in just about any kind of competition, he loves to be challenged! The hard part is finding something he can do, because he is not registered. So, I will be very interested in the responses, too!

There is a really great Flyball website somewhere...I remember it listed all the clubs all over the US because I tried to join my Shepherd to a flyball team but she outgrew tennis balls (she found that squeaky things are more fun). I'll look around for that website address....

I also know that in some states (like Arizona) the Petsmart has a Flyball team and they practice with their dogs in the stores and give Demonstrations at the shows. But thats not really racing team against team, its more for the show.
