Good Kennel or boarding Facility

Hi Everyone, I wasn't sure where to put this. Hope this is ok.

Anyway, I am trying to find a boarding facility with a decent rate in the El Dorado County Area of California. We live in Placerville and will be going to Iowa for 10 days at the end of this month. We thought our roomates would be here to watch them, but they have decided to move out and will be gone before we leave. So our in house dog sitting went right out the window. Unfortunately we have only lived up here for a little over a year and have not made any friends that I could ask to look after the dogs.

I don't know if anyone on this board lives in this area or not, but thought this might be a good place to ask.

We have the 2 dogs (both rott mixes) Tippsy is 69lbs & Moose is 85lbs. Both just got all their vaccinations, so that isn't an issue.
Tippsy might be able to go to my moms house, but Moose likes to try and escape and unfortunately he will finad anyway out of a fence. He escaped the last time he was there (didn't go anywhere, just sat in front of the house) But needless to say, Mom doesn't want to deal with that.

So any suggestions will be appreciated. I was going to ask the Vet how much it would be. I'm not looking forward to this since it is 10 days.

Did you look into inhouse pet sitting?? Usually easier on the pets and also gives added boost of the pets guarding your house.

If you are looking for a kennel, go to www.abka.com. This is the site of the American boarding kennels association. It will have the things to look for when interviewing different kennels. You can also type in your zip code and find the nearest kennel to you.

If you are interested in pet sitting/house sitting you are more then welcome to PM me....I have a wealth of information and could direct you in the right direction to find a sitter in your area.
