Ok long nosed rottie a very bad choice of words BUT I have seen plenty of rotties around with a longer muzzle than what is preferred these days ;) Even here on this forum ;)

people never cease to amaze me!

It's just crazy what people will do/say....or how gullible they are. For instance, about two years ago a woman tried to sell me her albino doberman (a scary looking creature, indeed...spoken by someone who is actually a fan of the well-bred dobe). She assured me that the dog's coloration was rare and "prized" by the doberman fancier. Well, I suppose the albino dobe is rare...but they certainly are NOT prized! :D I never figured out whether she really believed that, or if she was trying to con me. ;)

I sincerely hope either that this woman doesn't actually believe the dog is a specimen of an entirely new breed, or that no one gets conned into thinking she is something other than a dog who really needs and deserves a loving home....i hope someone simply adopts this poor girl, especially since winter is coming on....:(

I've seen the Am. Long Nosed Rottie in person!!

We take the kids to the park to play every day. While we were there, we met Benjamin. The description of the Am. Long Nosed Rottie fits him perfect. He was an owner release to the pound, or possibly a resuce from somewhere else (don't member), but the dams owner said he was a purebred. Benjamins mother said he looked just like one as a pup, but starteed filling out very weird. At a year now he looks, not much like any Rott I've seen, and I would assume he is a Rottie/Dobie. To me that would explain the long nose and large (deep maybe) hound-looking chest, narrow waist, and long nose. He also moves alot like the Dobie's my neighbors had. I'll take my camera to the park, and see if a can't post a pic
