I LOVE the saga of the rude woman!

You go girl- sounds like Maverick is taking care of Mom and all that concerns her!!!!! And whoever said it is right- Maverick is doing our breed SO proud!!!! How could your chest not bow out with major ego when Maverick does such a good job!!!!

GO MAVERICK!!!

And the quote about women and elephants.... CLASSIC!!! Love it!

I think there are simply some people that are easier dealt with by avoiding contact with them, if you can. That goes not only in whatever class you're in but later on when you're competing at something (be it obedience, agility, SchH, carting, flyball, conformation or whatever)
I will forever aviod certain "professional handlers" in the conformation ring. Their comments are usually designed to undermine your confidence. I'm usually good with a quick comeback, but why get upset in the first place?
This rude lady in your class seems to be getting what she's working so hard to get...a dog that doesn't behave. Matilda has taken over the training. She should be wearing the "red bandana."

I have a friend that shows her bitch in conformation. Her bitch is a little bitch aggressive, but has never done anything in the ring. PH are famous for running up or crowding the owner-handlers/novice handlers to get them off balance, etc. My friend has several big named handlers give her a wide berth in the ring by just saying her bitch's name:D It is really funny when they don't realize it is her and run up and set their dog up real close, only to have them quickly back up and reset. By this time they are making the judges wait- not a good thing to do

we passed the CGC and adios rude woman!!

i know there are those who don't think much of the CGC but i've very proud to say that maverick passed tonight with flying colors!!! : ) : ) : ) i'm pretty excited seeing that maverick is 9 days shy of being 7 months old. that rude woman wasn't at class tonight to see him pass (it was the last night of the intermediate class and her dog already passed the CGC test so she didn't come...darn!) next week starts the advanced class. she will be taking the class on monday nights so she won't be with us this next session. kinda glad but kinda wish she was in our class so i could continue to show off what a great dog maverick is. oh well, i suppose it's better this way.

so i guess this ends the saga of the rude woman...at least for now. i'm sure it won't be my last encounter with ignorance.

btw, the trainer told me after class that she's very impressed with maverick and even though he's young, she's thinks he'd get a lot of points at shows... i wasn't planning on showing him but it's definately something for me to think about...

That's AWESOME news!!!

I've been thinking about your situation at the class with that woman and hoping it was going well. I could be facing the same thing in a few months!!!

You deserve a huge CONGRATULATIONS!!! Keep up the great work!

Well, you have a whole "world" of things to try, and it sounds like the two of you would be good at any of them! I have friends who swear by obedience trials, and others who try to lure anyone into the agility ring.
Do what sound fun for you and Maverick. My friend, Phyllis would dearly love to have us do agility with her. As it is, we try to attend each others meets, but having different schedules makes it tough.
Now, if she just did obedience instead, many are held the same days as conformation here...;)
I simply couldn't picture tackling a second venue, but I have a friend who started out in agility, went to obedience and recently, started winning BOB's with his Golden, Luke! Let me tell you, conversations get mighty technical..."obedience legs," "conformation points," and I forgot what the terminology is for agility. (don't tell Phyllis!) Somebody help me out here?:(
The point is to have fun with your dog! :D
