My 110 lb. 7 year old PUPPY

Most people say that the older dog teaches the younger dog lots of things. (LOL). In my home and my experience it has always been the contrary.

Imagine my 7 year old ferocious 110 lb. working rott shredding toilet paper cardboard rolls apart (the part that's left when all the paper is gone?) JUST LIKE MY 10 WEEK OLD PUPPY DOES!:D

He doesn't want to eat his ordinary food, but the SAME mixture as the pup:(

He's started whining even more than before

Oh well............
Now I pet him first, feed him first (at night not during the day cause she eats 4 times a day), play with him first and greet him first (and yes, I really love him more....we've already had almost 7 fabulous years together). I suppose he's just plain jealous. There's not much I can do about it other than what I've been doing....She just needs a little extra attention cause she's extra active and really into the puppy thing....zoomies and all. I've even started giving him treats for things he doesn't need them for, i.e. coming when I call, sitting on command, etc. oh well, maybe I'm just ultra maternal?????????

lol

You better be giving him those treats!!!! lol

Sounds like a big baby to me. How is he getting along with his new apprentice? Is it puppy love???

I've now raised two, coming up on 3 puppies with older dogs in the house. I can't tell you how much easier it was with the older dog/s showing the little one the ropes.... And how amazing it is to watch the little one learn from them. Especially things like chewing up toilet paper rolls, which, by the way, are a delicacy.
Come to think of it, I've even had the older dogs learn from the younger one.... hehe.

Have fun!

They get along just fine as long as

-she stops sucking the organ that hangs from his underside, thinking it's a nipple (would you BELIEVE THAT:D :D :D :D )

-she doesn't try to get back one of her toys that he's taken thinking it's even BETTER than HIS (small green ball beats his larger orange or red hard rubber balls! Her marble color fake kong just outdoes his black rubber authentic Kong.....etc):p

-She stops knawing on his hind legs, thighs forepaws, legs elbows, knees,.........etc........;)

-He really does prefer HER food: :(

And She prefers MY potted plants

Oh, puppy hood.....where are the bandaids, mercurichrome, stitches, needle and thread and darning sock

Life is so interesting, ain't it

Leader -

Don't feel alone here, Sammy and Tiler are exhibiting the same type behaviors. Tiler learned how to shed toilet paper from the pup and the pup occasionally tries to nurse on him. He doesn't like that at all. :D I wish he would learn how to play from the pup, I don't think he knows how.
