He's Here!!

My new puppy is finally HERE!! After a 15 hour round road trip, Parker is now here. :D And I'm totally thrilled.

He slept in my arms all the way home. :)

Things that made his first night so perfect:

- Crate was in my bedroom (he didn't make a peep, slept all the way through the night)
- The breeder had him in a crate before, so it wasn't alien to him
- The breeder had a teddy bear for him that she had been handling all day along with his Mom and littermates.
- I got a Lamb Man that is about 16" tall (the ones that are approved by Sneakers), so it's the same as snuggling with a littermate
- The same food that the breeder was feeding him
- A walk in the middle of the night (I had to wake the poor guy up)

He's been wonderful and is already displaying some of the little behaviours that you guys have been talking about. Providing a running commentary for his toy-playing is one of them. ;)

I'm THRILLED! You guys have all be wonderful over the last 3/4 of a year. THANK YOU!! :D

Yippee!!

Oh Trish I'm so happy for you and Oh those days of holding them on your lap is just, well, so wonderful, though doesn't last long:D. I bet you are thrilled, now the fun begins :D. Keep us updated on his day by day fun things and best of luck to you. Enjoy him bc you know how fast they grow and how bad they can become, LOL! I love the name and can't wait to see him. Give that sweet precious baby a hug from me and tell him alot of people care about him and will know his every move, LOL!! Have fun and remember sweetie, anything that you don't want him to do later, don't allow it now.

Oh Congrats!!!:D
You must be so happy with little Parker! How wonderful that he was so quite his very first night home....that's great that he had already been in a crate!

What is a lamb man? I am sure that he enjoyed snuggling with it and it may become one of his favorites. We had a plush puppy for Elsa to sleep with and while I have had to buy a few replacements as it doesn't hold up too well after a few rounds in the washer, it has become Elsa's "comfort" toy! She takes it to bed with her and it's the toy she gets out when she's just looking to chill! Maybe "lamb man" will be that special toy for Parker!

Can't wait to see pics of the little guy!
