| Advice needed for temp foster parents When we move to Nevada in ~3 weeks the dogs are going to stay with my parents here in SC. This is only a temporary arrangement until we find somewhere to live out there. I have been living with my parents for about a month so the dogs are used to the house and my Mom and Dad. They know not to feed the dogs togather or feed any dog while Anna is out of her crate. Anna is getting MUCH better about the food thing but I don't want them to deal with a dog fight. We have resolved an issue with the leaf blower--Jack barked at it and Anna "protected" Jack from it by trying to bite the blower. Anna still doesn't like yard tools but she doesn't attack them. I am the most worried that Mom will spoil Anna and have some sort of dominance issues. Anna can be very demanding for attention. I am sure whatever issues come up I can get resolved when I get her to Las Vegas but any advice you can think of to pass along to my parents would be great. I want Mom to have a positive Doggie Experience not a negative one.

| I would be reserved about giving Mom too many orders regarding Anna. As long as they are going to get along safely, like you said, you can unspoil her when you get her with you. Getting too bossy with someone who is doing you a great favor can sure take the shine off. Anna will recognize the new "rules" quickly when the time comes. |

| I have just heard so much about dominance related agression so I didn't want Anna to think she was going to become the Queen of the house when I am gone. If it should be safe for 2-3 months of Anna being spoiled and getting her way then I will just let it go. Thanks, that was the kind of feedback I was looking/hoping for. Maybe they could take her to a training class while I am gone. Good idea? or will she just get confused?

| If she is not nasty tempered, it is VERY unlikely that a bit of spoiling is going to turn her so. It will likely make her slow in responding to commands, a bit lazy, wanting of attention, and so forth. |

| Thanks :D I feel much better now! She is the sweetest doggie in the world. At least the sweetest one we have met. I won't worry too much about her being spoiled and my parents can enjoy her without many rules.

| The most important rule they must stick to is that she is never allowed out of the house or fenced yard without being hooked to a leash. She just might not come properly for them and you would be heartbroken and so would they if anything should happen. |
