Shotty's Weight Question

Hi, I have a 10 month old German Rottweiler named Shotty(yes like the gun, shotgun). i was just hoping if you guys could tell what would be the perfect weight for him. At 8 months old, he weighed about 80 lbs. So i was just curious to know, roughly how he doin in weight.

His weight should be judged by his height and length. I prefer to keep my dog on the leanside.

Further to what Roscoe's dad said, it's how fat or lean he is that matters, not how many pounds he is. Here's a reasonably good site with pictures and instructions showing you how to determine whether or not your dog is at a healthy weight:
