Does anyone have any information about this?

I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone might have some information or clues to help me in my search!

My husbands grandmother use to raise and breed rottweilers successfully. To my understanding, she had a very successful dog, named "Woody." I don't know his full name and I can't find out from his grandmother, as she passed away before I was interested in the breed.

This is what I do know. She lived in Southern Illinois, up until about 1997-98. Then she moved to Southern Arizona, where she resided for a short time before she passed away. She was supposedly offered $20,000 dollars at one time for this dog. He must have been a good quality rottweiler.

I'd like to locate any information about him.

Sorry if I posted this under the wrong place. :p

Thanks!!!

Rottnlove- If you could post the kennel name, it would be a good place to start. Maybe your husband could ask his parents for that info? See what you could find out..I'll be anxiously waiting!

If you don't have a kennel name then at least the grandmothers name. It is almost impossible for us to pick a "Woody" Most people know dogs by their registered names their breeder and owners. Without one of these "Woody" is almost impossible to find.

Thanks you guys.

I agree, it's quite difficult without the kennel name or the full name!!! I don't know if I'll find this dog, but I figured this is a good place to start! ;)

My husband's grandmother was Barbara Eggelston. Her passion was her rottweilers. She always told us how wonderful rotties were and I wish I would have took her advice and got a puppy from her! :(

I hear that "Woody" was among her very best dogs.

Thanks frontierrotts! I'll look into the name you gave me. Any information is greatly appreciated! :)

I found out what my husbands grandma's kennel name was. It is no longer in existance, since she passed away a few years ago.

I hope it's ok to post the name it use to be. Correct me if it's not, please.

Her kennel name was "Raybarb Kennels."

Does anyone know anything about this or the dogs?

Thanks. :)

Good luck finding the info. I hope you do. That would sure be interesting. I went to a new gal to cut my hair about 2 weeks ago and upon sitting in her chair I noticed 2 rottie boys pics at her station. Of course we began chatting away. She got her Males from Somewhere in Southern Illinois. The males are 8 and 10 and I am sure are no relation, but it couldn't hurt to ask I suppose. Again good luck.

Thank you, IRIES MAMA.

I sure hope to find out more.

Strange thing is, no one in his family knows anything about her dogs, other than she use to be a breeder. She loved rotts, and would always tell us they are the greatest dogs. I believe her. :)

Aren't some kennels registered with the AKC? Maybe they could help you.
