Pedigree information

In march I went to florida to purchase my 6 1/2 month "tyson" and while I was there the breeder asked me for the $50 to "transfer" registration from German to American Kennel clubs. However, ever time I call it seems they give me the runaround about it taking so long because its a different goverment and things are slow there. On the contrary, the breeder wasnt slow in cashing my $50 check. Any suggestions?
