Just another stupid question about teeth

I have what may be a stupid question, but since I'm here to learn maybe someone can answer.

My question is about teeth. Specifically the rear teeth. I'll call them molars, but again I don't know anything about dog teeth.

Are these molars the last ones to come in? Do they cause much pain? Do they also make the dog chew on things to alleviate their discomfort? And finally at what age can you consider the dog is over teething?

The dog has incisors (front), canines (fangs), premolars, and molars. 42 teeth all total, 20 on top 22 on bottom. The difference being 6 premolars on top and 8 premolars on the bottom.

When the teeth come in it does cause discompfort which will cause cheewing. This normaly ends around 6 months of age, for sure by 8 months.

No stupid questions V,if it's important to you you deserve a nice kind answer as orville gave you...None of us came here knowing everything and had to ask one who knew a little more, It's the process of learning!!!!!:)....I don't think they have any undue pain losing them, not anymore than the others,no roots!!!! someone once suggested to soak a washcloth or such in chicken broth and freeze it,give to your pup and not only will he have something cool for his teething, but a tasty treat too...ummmmmm puppy says:)

My puppy got his back teeth first then the front ones(except for the fangs) and then the middles ones. The fangs were the last ones to go of course since these were the ones I was waiting on the most cause they hurt the most. He just turned 6 months on the 19 th and he lost his last tooth over the 4th of July weekend.
