Rottweiler Meeting In LI NY

I don't know exactly if this is where I should be posting this but here it goes. I am forming monthly meetings here in Long Island NY once a month where I plan on having guest speakers, doctors, breeders etc... I would also like to have vending at these meetings where people can come and sell food, toys, shampoos, figurines, shirts, whatever items Rottweiler related. I was planning on making the meeting like the first wednesday of each month, and then have an annual huge show. All members will be permitted to bring there rotts to the meeting, as long as a up to date shot record is provided. We will also send out a news letter each month with news, ideas and stories from all rott owners. I will be charging a annual membership, and those who do not choose to be an annual member can pay each month at the door. If there are any NYers or even others who would travel to such meetings, drop me an e-mail. We will also form a rottweiler rescue in our area, and all monies will be contributed to the breed. Anyone that would be willing to help in anyway to get this going will be greatly appreciated. Please e-mail me if you'd be interested in attending.

hI RockyRott, I am in Brooklyn, NY. I would like some more info on these meetings, your idea sounds just wonderful. I am with a very new, small rescue myself called Majesty Rottweiler Rescue. We are based out of NYC and their is still so much that we need to do and learn to really get things moving along, I would love to meet other people who have the same passion and goals for our rotties as I do. I look forward to speaking to you more about this. ;)

Thank you so much for your interest. I dont know how to go about getting others involved or interested, I'm still not to sureas to what I can say in these boards ad wha I can. So if everyone would help spread the word I would be greatful. I would like to get this going soon. This wll be a non profit org. hough anyone vendng rotty gifts, food etc will profit. We will only be looking for a 30.00 retail value worth of goods from the vendors to pay for the table. Those will then be put into a raffle at the end of the evening. All Profits from memberships will go to bringing inguest speakers and so on ad so forth for each months meetings.
