Kayla, that sounds like a good idea, the small foot pedal trash can. Hmmmmm? I think I'll fill my Doggie Dooley with DIRT and call it a WASTE!!!!

I just put pick ours up with a platic grocery bag and toss it in the trash outside. The garbage people just take it then.

We too fell into the dooley folly. I think for it to work you'd have to find one really huge one per dog. Now I just do the garbage can method mentioned before & it works just fine. Same amount of work w/ no hole in your yard, and no smell, and no buying digester that doesn't work, ect.

I use the garbage can method and it works great. Once a week it goes with the garbage man. I keep waiting for a nasty note from him, but none so far.:D

here's an idea

I thought about the Dooley-with 5 dogs I keep wondering when the garbage man is going to cut me off-we must have the heaviest can on the block every week!:)
Here is a link to a good idea-although it is quite labor intensive. It seems to address why the Dooley doesn't work-looks like there should be more to it than sticking a can in the ground.:D

DO you know that there are services that will come to your home and "scoop the poop" for you! I knwo because I use one and let me tell you it is the best $25.00 (a month) I have ever spent!!

Call me lazy, call me a spend-thrift.....but I am hooked! :)
And I lucked out...my "day" is Fridays, so my yard is always nice and clean for the weekend.

I have thought about that but with 5 dogs I pick up twice a day-wonder how much that would set me back?!:D

2 dogs? in my book...worth every penny!! :)
The more dogs, the more worthwhile the investment.

On the serious side though, she says that she does a lot with elderly folks or the physically limited. I always thought it was just for us lazy folks:p , but what a great idea, especially considering how much more useful and multi-faceted personal aid dogs are becoming.
