Canadian Rottie owners??

Hello fellow Canadians!
I am not yet a rottie owner but will be this Spring. I thought that I would try and round up some other Canadian Rottie owners so that we could compare info etc about Canadian products, vets, prices etc.
I am from Alberta!
Hope to hear from others!

Hi rawnzgrl!

I'm in Toronto and actually, we're in the same boat! I'll be getting my first rottie pup later this Spring or early summer! :D

Nice to meet you! Feel free to private message me if you like. It'll be great to have a fellow Canuck to compare puppy notes with. ;)

Trish

Hello Rawnzgrl:
Welcome to the board. I am a fellow Canadian from Ontario but escaped the cooold winters a few years ago for Mexico. Reina my psycho Rott has never seen snow so I might bring her to Canada for a visit (maybe) but for now she has to be happy looking at the ice floating around in my Margarita.:)

Well, Roscoe's Dad, we'd all have to meet in Winnipeg which is pretty much dead centre and god knows, the mosquitos there are bigger than any Rottweiler I've ever seen. :p Might have to pass on that one. :)

Welcome, rawnsgrl, this is a great place to learn about this most wonderful breed. As you can see, I'm from Calgary...where in Alberta are you?

Hola Gina. Yes my Rottweiler is 100% Mexican and will be 11 months old in two weeks. IMHO I think she is a beautiful and intelligent pet. When my reina is walking down the beach wearing her minature Mexican sombrero she can really draw a crowd.

CanŽt find any Molsons or Labatts here but IŽll have a Corona with a tequila chaser ( I think this is about the same alcohol content as Canadian beer). The bill came to $1.55. Salud!:D

Hi Rawngrl,

We are from Calgary as well!! It seems that we never run into Rottie owners here - but I know that they are out there!!

We have a baby girl who is eight months old, the pride of our family!!

We live directly across from Edworthy Park, so we go there a lot in the summer - the beach is awesome...
We also really enjoy basically any off leash park in the City, Audrey is a social butterfly, and enjoys spending time chasing and being chased by her canine friends.

We use the vet up by Crowfoot and are extremly happy with them. They really seem to care alot.

We are shoppers at (I hope that I am not breaking any rules by writing this...)Especially for Pets. The owner is very experienced with Rotts and she does training as well.

We are thinking of getting a brother for Audrey, and are planning on going through Southern Alberta Rottweiler Rescue, I cannot say enough about the lady who runs this organization and the people who are foster homes for the dogs.

Anyhow that is probably all the I have to say right now, good luck with your Rott this spring!!!

Another Canadian here (although my wife is American). I'm from southwestern Ontario and have a fantastic 2+ year old rottie named Razer. My wife would like a second one in our home, but that's a no go--one in our neighborhood causes enough scared looks!
