Bitch in heat smell

I need to get my two boys to believe that their sister who is in standing heat is no longer traveling with them. For the past 3 days my two boys have been traveling with their sister who unfortunately been in standing heat for the past two days.
I took Roulette home and continued on to the next show without her, but with the two boys. The two boys are frantic, jibbering monkeys in the new hotel room. Naturally I would like nice quiet, calm, dogs.
Any suggestions on how to get them to realize that Roulette is now 250 miles away? For the past two days Sam has not been able to do anything in the show ring, just a glazed expression. Louie has been a bit better, but not by much. They are not eating and these dogs normally want seconds. No one has been able to sleep. I so want to get a good nights sleep.
Thanks

Re: Bitch in heat smell

I know how you feel as I used to bring my male to work with me when my girls were in standing heat no more. As even though they were home miles away he would carry on and so did his half brother when I had him. So now I crate them side by side and they are fine. And of course the girls are not allowed to go in the big yard were the boys go out to potty and life is much better.

Re: Bitch in heat smell

Louie was impossible to show. I am surprised that the judge didn't excuse us for lack of brain function. He did show his bite well enough. I pulled Sam from open, not worth having him act the fool in the ring. Louie was enough of a show.
One thing I didn't wash or replace was the sheet I had covering their crates while at the show. It is now in the hotel laundry. I am Frabreezing the entire van. I had sprayed it with Nature's Miracle yesterday. I haven't seen the Peppermint soap that was mentioned. I don't think that Vicks will work, but I got some anyway, just in case.
I am enjoying a beer, Doritos and chocolate donuts.

Re: Bitch in heat smell

Dr. Bronner's Peppermint soap has been around for quite awhile, it is a liquid and is great for using around pets because it is "all natural", no chemicals what-so-ever.

You can usually find it in health food stores and the like.
