Re: Change name on the Pedigree

Sounds real fishy to me. Sounds like the OP bought a male and female, lied about the kennel they came from, (maybe for some crooked breeding purpose down the road?), I can't imagine any other reason. Oh what a tangled web we weave......
It is a little fishy ....

Being a breeder in Canada, I guess it is priviledge to be able to name all of my pups or at least be able to give the puppy buyers an idea for a theme for names, but my registered name is on all of them since it is my blood, swear and tears that brought them into the world. And no one can change a name but the breeder, only once and it must be within 6 months of purchase.

I cannot fathom why anyone would use someone else's name on a dog without written consent of that breeder (you can't even do that in Canada there is a slot on the papere work for allowance of use of kennel name; my last litter, one pup had 3 kennel names on him, mine, co-breeder and stud dog owner, all with written consent) ... or for that matter a breeder who would breed wonderfully pedigreed dogs and not care what name those pup's carry ..... very odd.

I also find it odd you have 2 puppies and are now looking for a heavy-boned large female TOP quality puppy .....

Who knows?

To each his own, I guess you should try to change those names since I am guessing you are out showing your dogs and realize you are likely going to get called out (or have been already) by experienced show people at these shows about where your dogs actually aren't from .... save the humiliation.

Re: Change name on the Pedigree

Hello.
Let me assure you there is nothing fishy about what I did when I named my pupps after famous german kennels. I immediatly tried to change it and was told I could not. I then went back again after Gina said that is was possible. I got it changed ad contacted the breeders and told them the whole story about how I made a mistake and would not misrepresent myself or my dogs. Both breeders did not care said it ok. I acknowledge it was a dumh thing to do. Its done please move on!
If I was seriously up to no good I would no come her and knowinlgy get bombareded with flames. Also for the record the spelling on the dogs names where misspelled intentionally. I conduct my self with and other with respect and I live by my code of ethics which is to help and consider your fellow man.
Please do not think that I am out to do harm to anyone. I have said it many times, and this will be that last, although I have had dogs all my life and 2 rotts since 1995, I am a novice and have alot to learn.

That is it.
