Remember, I am an American, but Fizbin does have a Canadian Championship. In CKC your dog needs to earn 10 points under at least 3 judges. At least one of the wins must be worth 2 or more points. IE you can have 8 single wins and one win of 2 points for a total of 10 points. But if your dog earns 2- five point wins, you need to get at least 11 points to get the 3rd judge.
Your dog earns points by beating the competition at shows. There are different ways to do that. Since I have a male, I am going to use that sex. If there is two or males entered and your male goes winner's dog- your dog now has points. If your male is the only male, but there are some bitches entered and your male goes Best of Winners- your dog gets points. If your dog beats some males and also goes BOW, you get even more points. For BOW, when calcalating points, you add up the number of class males and class females together and see how many points your dog earned.
Now say that your dog is the only rottweiler entered. Now it gets tough. In order to earn points, your dog needs to get that Best of Breed ribbon and go into groups and win in groups to earn points. Tough, but not impossible.
Canada only has one point system. In AKC we have different point schedules for the different breeds. In CKC it is the same for all the breeds. I don't know if it has changed any, but back in 2006 it was:
2 dogs=1 point
3-5 dogs=2 points
6-9 dogs=3 points
10-12 dogs=4 points
13 or more=5 points

In stead of bribing, I would hire a handler that has a strong track record for winning. You don't want to get into trouble with the CKC. But if your handler.....
