Re: Mambo

Amigo is really taking off right now. He is throwing alot of bone and great head type. I heard there is an up-and-coming Mambo son named Racker vom Ostsachsen. The word in Germany is that he'll be the next Balou. Very large and great structure. Judge Peterman was quoted as saying that he is "the nicest Mambo son". But I think he is young and just became eligible for breeding. So only time will tell.

Re: Mambo

Mambo is a very nice dog and has produced nice heads with alot of different bitches, but i find it funny that people will talk about my dog's short muzzle and the possibilities of bite problems, yet it is OK for Mambo. HE IS A GREAT DOG, but AS WITH ANY DOG, he is not perfect. There are plenty of Mambo offspring out there with bite issues, and males out of him who are THROWING bites problems. I think too many times we concentrate on the males in the breed when it is the females that to me are the key. Give me a great female who produces with alot of different type of males. This is what i would be looking for if i was looking for a puppy.JMO

Re: Mambo

From what I have seen, it really depends on the bitch. He generally throws a nice head but the size of the dog ranges depending on the bitch. Amigo is tiny, Maik and Jonas are taller but longer backed, Racker is taller with a shorter back. I really think he throws a good head and good bone but the rest is up to the bitch. The breeder I have dealt with is breeding a bitch to him this year.

Re: Mambo

One of the mambo sons I like is Maik von der Frankentanne. I might be a little partial though..he's the sire of my Shane, and Shane is doing very well so far in work and show.

Re: Mambo

Hi, I am new to this forum, I found this thread very interesting as I just imported a bitch "Yoga Vom Haus Rumpel" who I bred to Mambo Von Der Crossener Ranch. It's good to hear it confirmed from others that he throws large heads and bone, we heard this and that played a big part in my decision to breed to Mambo. Can't wait to see the results. I also agree that the female plays a large role in the DNA pool.
