CH Carter Noble's Shaka Zulu (best ever?)

Hmmm, whilst doing some looking around on the net tonight, at work, I ran across so much info/articles/brags about this magnificent Rottweiler. It got me to wondering is he the most celebrated Rottie in the history of show Rotties in the United States? Below is an excerpt from a reporter from a show he won earlier this year.

As the sun began to slowly sink into the western skies, the Best in Show line-up assembled near the ring. Soon, respected dog man, Mr. Walter Goodman (pictured at left in front of Mr. Merriam) entered the ring and with a nod, the Grand Finale began and into the ring came the Smooth Collie, the Standard Poodle, the Pekingese, the Airedale, the Rottweiler, the Petit Bassett Griffon Vendeen and the Irish Setter. With an eye and style that only comes from years of experience, Mr. Goodman carefully went over each exhibit. As most of us held our breath, he looked and looked again at the Airedale, the Poodle and the Rottweiler before turning around and walking back to the table to make his final notes. Finally, Mr. Goodman faced the line-up once more, asking them all to "go round" again and with a deft gesture by the esteemed judge, history was made when the Rottweiler Ch. Carter's Nobel Shaka Zulu became the first Rottweiler to ever win Best in Show at Bucks, while at the same time, breaking his Breed's record for number of Best in Shows by a Rottweiler - not bad for an owner handler team without an advertising campaign. Who says it can't be done? All it takes is hard work, determination, handling skills ....and a very, very good

I can't imagine what his stud fees are?

I believe that they are fairly reasonable, or they were last year when I was informed. I don't remember the exact figure, but it was less then several other popular studs I know about.

Having seen Shaka at the last 2 Nationals (as well as putting a HUGE star next to his name in my catalog in Florida in 2002 when he was in the puppy class), I would have to say that he is one of the nicest Rottweilers I've ever seen.

Watching he and Keith together is like poetry in motion. There isn't much you can fault Shaka on, and he is truely a showman.

He IS the all time winningest (is that a word?? ) Rottweiler in the history, surpassing Oil Tanker for number of BIS's. I can only imagine what Keith's house looks like with the Red/White/Blue rosettes he has accumulated in the last 2 years.

I hope to see him again in Pennsylvania at the 2006 Nationals. Can he make it 3 in a row ???

If you ever get the chance, get up close to the dog and REALLY look at his coat. Specifically the topline area. It looks suspiciously like it has been stripped and he's been died.

How does doing that affect his actual structure and movement? How does doing that make him any less than what he is?

Also, can you actually prove these assertions or does it just "look suspicious"?

If you do not have facts, do you really think you have the right to demean the dog.....I DO NOT THINK SO.....So until you can prove it, move on

That does not answer my question. You have not even proven that it is being done. But how about answering my question.

All one needs to do is get a close look at the dog. Form your own opinions from there.

Must not be obvious to the judges then, huh? But then I am sure you have a better eye thatn the judges, right? You still haven't answered my question.

This dog is being shown quite a bit and NO JUDGES have caught this yet? Only your very sophisticated eye can see this coverup?

The dog's show record is documented and verifiable. This forum does not encourage or permit inflammatory remarks directed at a named target based on speculation or suspicion. If you would like to discuss grooming for shows, please start a new thread and discuss the topic objectively.
