Bea's first conformation show

Well I COULD just say "at Bea's first conformation show she won reserve winners" and leave it at that. LOL but that would be a bit deceptive!

Judge Jean Fournier DID NOT wear hat nor sunglasses today! After all the work I did :)

She was very nice and patient with Bea and we made it though the tooth and head exam (not something we've ever worked on until this last week and a half!) Everything else was easy

There was only 1 other bitch and she was a 3 year old in open. I had planned on her taking winners (older, more filled out and more ring experience) so was happy with our day

We had arrived an hour ahead and by the time we went in the ring Bea was fairly used to the hoop-a-la (which is NOT present at obedience trials), then we hung around under the tent while Stacia showed our Shiba (our naked , shed out, shiba) in breed and then in Jrs and got lots of exposure to idiot handlers, jerky dogs as well as odd sounds, crashes etc.

She did really well and we are happy (and she's very very tired) Our next conformation show is 8/1 so we shall see!!

WTG Bea It's always good to prepare for the worst and be thankful when it doesn't happen. Sounds like she has a nice career ahead of her.

Great news Diane. Good luck to both or you in all you choose.

P.S. Good luck to the naked shiba too.
