| Who's going to Nationals? Anyone here on the forum going to the ARC Nationals in Cincinnati, OH? We live about 45 min. from Cincy now, so we'll definitely plan to be there. Hope to see some of you guys there. The twins can't wait for the Top Twenty formal night. They just love getting dressed up in long dresses and I let them wear make-up. ;) Don't know if we'll show anyone or just spectate, but I've already took time off from work to enjoy. If you've never been to Nationals, you really should try to attend. You get to see more rotties in one location than anywhere else. You get to see dogs from all over the country. So many activities and a great place to network and meet rottie people from all over. I think my favorite part is watching the Veterans classes....it makes me cry every time. gosh, those dogs can still move around the ring like they're young pups and you can see it in their eyes that they just love it. Can't wait! |

| Re: Who's going to Nationals? I am trying to figure out if I can afford to go and how to get there(coming from CA). This would be Duncan's veteran's class show debute (he turns 7 on March 12th). A good friend wants to go and show him. He will also be braced up with his sister in brace obedience and any other obedience class I can get him into. :D Duncan and his sister, who he hadn't seen since they were 8 weeks old, took first place in brace obedience last year. Fizbin will be entered in VST (if we get in), herding started (maybe), novice obedience, carting (CI) and maybe conformation if he finishes his championship by then. My two older dogs, Misty and Duncan should recieve their V awards at this show too.

| Re: Who's going to Nationals? Cincinnati airport is a hub for Delta, so good chances of getting a direct or non-stop flight from the west coast. I believe we did when we went to the Nationals in Peta Luma a few years ago. The show site is a little ways from the airport, but there should be plenty of cars available....not sure if the club set up some transport vans or not??? Sounds like you'll have your hands full and BUSY if you come. I really do love attending the Nationals, it's like no other show. If you need any help with directions, etc. let me know, I'd be glad to help. Hope to see ya there! :) |

| Re: Who's going to Nationals? I'm going. Taking my Lucky for Vets, Faith for sweeps and regular classes. We are also doing herding and carting. (at least my friend is, we co-own her dogs.) And I may take Jade for obedience, we'll see.

| Re: Who's going to Nationals? Great! Hope to see you all there! Carol, as I said, Veterans are my favorite....we'll definitely be cheering Lucky on for you. I think Niko's breeder has decided she would like to show in in Veterans, he turned 7 in Dec. so it will be his first time...don't know how I feel about that... can't really fathom that my baby boy isn't really a baby anymore??? I would love to be able to catch the Herding as well. I'm really getting excited, it's getting closer and luckily the date coincides with the Spring Break with the local schools so the Doc I work for has taken off to spend time with her kids...therefore I'M OFF! :) |
