Re: new mom due yesterday

Oh yes, we are definately keeping her. It is truly a "happily ever after" story. We weren't even planning on keeping any of her pups. But after everything she went through just to have one puppy survive and then having to hand raise her, well we have just fell totally in love with Sadie. She is so smart, so pretty and just a wonderful puppy. Everything she does is amazing to me. Like yesterday I bought her a collar and little leash. You would have thought that she had been walking on a leash since she was born. I have never seen anything like her. If I had to state one fault or whatever I would say that she gets a bit too excited when playing and has drawn blood a few times. We're working on that though. I knew that would probably be an issue as she has no way of knowing how hard she is biting. She doesn't bite viciously, just her little teeth are so sharp.
But anyway, yes we are keeping her and are so blessed to have her. Thanks again, Keli

Re: new mom due yesterday

I would have removed her rear dew claws. It's not to late. they can be removed when she is spayed. As for front dews, I leave them on my pups and have never had a problem.

Re: new mom due yesterday

Thanks Jen. I've wondered whether they might get hung up as we go hiking and such. I'm glad to hear that it can be done when she's spayed, I was worried that I had waited too long. The breeder of Princess had already done the docking and dew claws so I've never wondered about it until we had Sadie. Thanks again.
