Birth Announcement

After keeping me on whelp watch for the last three days, our litter co-bred by Eaglehaus presented themselves yesterday morning. 4 females, 2 males in just one hour and ten minutes. Dam and puppies doing well with each puppy weighing 1# or more! Me, well I've hardly slept. <LOL>

Sire: V1, Can CH, AKC Ptd Sampson vom Eaglehaus AD, OFA Good, Elbows Normal, Cardiac normal-cardiologist, CERF Nov'06 - "Sam" will be 10 years old on May 1st. He is one of the last sons of my favorite dog A/C CH Mako and his dam was the beautiful A/C CH Lacy.

Dam: V1 rated, CKC Ptd Eaglehaus Galexie Girl AD, OFA Excellent, Elbows
DJD1, Cardiac normal-cardiologist, CERF Nov'06 - "Lexie" is the spirited daughter of A/C CH Alex SchH2 and A/C CH Dyna.

I just wanted to share the joyous news with you guys. I see we will have a wonderful selection of puppies showing in the Pacific Northwest during the next 12 months! Congrats Sharon on your litter and best wishes to Francis on your upcoming breeding!

Re: Birth Announcement

How exciting! I myself will never breed a dog so I just get to live the excitement through those of you that do breed your dogs. I bet they are adorable.

Congratulations! Sounds like a wonderful breeding.
Glad to know that the male is almost 10, longevity in the lines are so important.

Re: Birth Announcement

Congratulations on these babies. I hope to be able to see a few of these in the ring in the future. Six puppies in just over an hour- wow, they wanted out badly.

Re: Birth Announcement

Sooo nice to read about things being done correctly--the postings about naive people breeding their "beautiful" juvenile, untested, unproven dogs wear me down.

All the best!

Re: Birth Announcement

No doubt you will, Francis! You're up here as often as I am these days. :-)

Gina, longevity is really important to me. Since we are limited on how many dogs we can properly care for, it is rare for us to have a litter. I expect my dogs to all see double digits!

Thanks everyone on your well wishes!

Re: Birth Announcement

Yesterday was our 1-week birthday! The puppies are growing like wildflowers sucking every bit of nurtients offered their systems. Orange Blossom is a very forward and demanding little girl already weighing in at 28oz! But she is not the largest puppy, that is reserved for "Big Boy" who reached 2 pounds. Now they were not small puppies to begin with but even I am amazed at their strength and mobility. hehe. I think my husband may need to add another rail to the puppy box before long. I think it must be the clean, natural living out here at the homestead. The puppies are smart too because whenever the fireplace clicks on they are just like the kitties and start working towards the warmth. (I think I might be losing weight just from the sauna feel of our house right now. lol I also look a bit like a raccoon from lack of sleep.) I need to figure out how to share pics of the puppies and our two Siamese cats sharing the fire. Whatever it is, I am ever so thankful for the opportunity to own these darling pups. They are truly a blessing!

Re: Birth Announcement

Best wishes and congrats on the little ones. How'd I'd love to be around those little darlings. Nothing cuter than a bunch of Rottie pups. (hope my son doesn't read this!)

Re: Birth Announcement

Thanks!

Sharon, "Cash" from the Tucker/Ivy litter bred by listmember Paula should arrive here Wednesday. Double the trouble, double the fun! I'm going to find a couple local shows in April for Cash to play at. She is: RoseArbour All In Solbakken

My husband has no idea... LOL!

Wink Re: Birth Announcement

Sorry this is off topic but I was reading through here and came across this name.

"Cash" from the Tucker/Ivy litter

Lol, I had to laugh. This was Sadie's name before we found out the "he" the vet referred to was actually a "she". The name was for "Cassius Clay" cause of what a fighter the pup was and plus the fact that the ER wanted CASH to save their lives.
What is the source of Cash's name for you?

Re: Birth Announcement

This must certainly never get back to my husband, hehehe. He thought I was getting "$Cash$" instead of a "stud puppy". So I decided that I better name her Cash from the getgo. So whenever Paula and I talk it is about my "Cash puppy". She arrives in just a couple more days. Her registered name is submitted as RoseArbour All In Solbakken. I couldn't resist the opportunity to "buy in" on such a promissing litter. As for the husband, he still has no idea... <wink>
