There is absolutely nothing sweet about your story.

I'm involved in rescue and nauseated by people like you.

The last thing this world needs are clueless people who think breeding untitled, unproven dogs is sweet or in any way acceptable.

Read thru the postings in Breeding since you clearly have zero understanding of a breeder's many responsibilities. Then, when you understand what real breeders do and how are presently far short of the mark, read thru the postings in Rescue.

I thought I'd share that with you.

Re: Taz is not a deadbeat dad

I know you may not want to hear this, but keeping intact dogs together so that they can breed "when you aren't looking" is irresponsible. If you didn't want them breeding, they should have been spayed/neutered. You could have, and in my opinion should have, taken the female to the vet and had her spayed right after this "accident".

Do this breed a favor and get your female spayed as soon as it is safe to do so after these pups are born. And get your male fixed while you are at it.... you don't want him getting out looking for other females when they are in heat.

I recognize that you are in another country, but responsible breeding is the same everywhere.

I too agree that there is nothing sweet about your story. You have a 17 month old male who clearly has not been health tested or cleared who has fathered a litter now. You also said in a early post that one of your dogs got together with your pekingnese (again when you weren't looking) so since you're incredibly irresponsible, letting two accidental litters happen, I suggest you SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR DOGS ASAP.

How were they "acid"? You let your dog hump your girl....and now have a litter on the way!! You are a BYB, something the respected members of this forum have spent dedicated years trying to eradicate!

Looks like your dog is a more responsible parent than you.

if you were smart (which i doubt) you'd stay on here and READ AND LEARN. What don't you get about BYBs? You have been on this board for a while now, I'm sure you've seen the posts. But yet, you think it's sweet that "when you weren't looking" you've twice let accidental litters happen!?!??! It's because of people like YOU that there are soooo many unwanted pups in shelters and rescues. It's because of people like YOU that these poor pups are born with genetic issues, health and temperament issues. Spay and neuter your dogs! Be responsible!

And that, dear OP, is due entirely to your limitations.

The only way people can be helped is if they want to be helped.

Clearly, you do not wish to be helped since you are rejecting advice given by people who've forgotten more about Rottweilers than you are capable of learning.

Alas! I couldn't agree more.

You'll never know because you don't wish to learn, don't wish to improve your knowledge, don't wish to become anything other than what you are--an irresponsible dog owner.

Willful ignorance...I pity your dogs.

Reality is harsh sometimes, after your first emergency c-section, you will understand that (maybe).

There are NO ACCIDENTS in this world, sorry.

Good luck .... ; (

Re: Taz is not a deadbeat dad

How sad is that. You let something happen that could have been prevented had you actually cared enough about your dogs. I own bitches. They have both been in heat and around male dogs for I do not keep them or me confined at home. But the owners of the males knew ahead of time, and I made sure to keep my girls separated. And trust me, taking a bitch in heat to a dog show is not an easy task. But we left there, a place where there were 100s of dogs, and she was not bred. The easy solution would have been to either crate the one when the other was out, or board the one if necessary. There is nothing cute about that happening, especially when your dogs are not even old enough for the necessary health testing. To prevent this from happening again, please spay and neuter your dogs. There are way too many dogs out there with health problems why create more. And there are way too many of those dogs that end up in shelters or PTS because of people who breed irresponsibly. Please do us all a favor and prevent future "accidents" from happening with you dogs.
