Re: Expecting and Working....Yes or No???

Hey, it could happen ..... SNORT! (I am the one in the red suit sitting on your left shoulder for future reference)

Just remember, as long as Jez is willing to do something, she can doodle around in heeling, and recalls, finishes, things like that. I work my guys at the best of times 15 minutes a day (most days that is), so cut it in half .... something like that.

But if she is bummed, tired, nesting a lot, just go buy that satin pillow because if you work her when she is not into it, she could lose her enthusiasm entirely for working later on.

True! Good advice - little friend in red suit....tee hee hee!

We'll wait and see how she's feeling after being bred. I know with the last litter - it was "where's the couch, I need to lie down" right from early on. Granted - she was packin' 11 so I'd be lookin' for a couch too!

I don't know your dog at all. I just know that even though my dogs have been herding for years, I am still trying to teach them that they can still do a great job herding without going MACH 10. This being winter, the ground can be slippery, especially in a sheep pen.
