| HELP! Info on how to dock tails. help! i'm helping a friend at work with an up and coming litter of pups and the only thing i'm not 100% confident in is docking the tails, so any advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks ------------------ |

| Your best best, and I'm assuming neither of you have any experience with docking or banding, is to have it done by a vet. If you can't find a vet who is familiar with doing Rottie tails - tell him/her the closer the better! Vets that are not experienced with doing Rottie tails invariably get them too long unless instructed otherwise. If you don't do this and the vet doesn't know, you'll end up with "Dobie" tails.
