since saying roxy had 10 pups, one and a half hours later she had another boy, he is not doing very well and roxy has rejected him so we are going to do our best with hand feeding

Good to hear that everything went well.
As far as the 11th pup that mom has rejected and is not doing well....you probably should just leave him alone.
I know that my breeder and other breeders on this forum do not make heroic choices when the mother has rejected a pup. Most of the time mom knows best and there is a problem with the puppy...and Mother Nature is just doing what has to be done.

I know that my breeder said that any puppies that she has managed to save and had to hand feed,etc....were never right. Either their health was bad and they never lived a long life or the temperment was never right.

Just keep an eye on him. If momma dog was not wanting to care for him, there still could be something wrong with him.
If he is cold, or left by himself....there may be a reason.

I know that it is human nature to want to help the helpless....but sometimes it comes with a price.

Don't bother with that. Just let him die. If she is rejecting him, then there is a problem with him. He will not grow up to be a strong, normal pup. Interfering with mother nature is never a good idea. This is one of the hard parts of breeding and since you decided to go down that road, you have to live up to your side of the bargain. Keep the breed in mind, not the individual.

Re: Roxy Has Had Her Pups

Well, it's a month since she posted about the birth, so it's hard to know what the present status on that pup is.
