Puppy Buying Europe

Has anyone bought a puppy from Europe where he was not sent the puppy that was shown in the photos?

This is not uncommon but there is nothing you can do about it.

this is true....... in my opinion you are always better to resurche lines and if your dog you chose is coming from europe then deal through an importer here...there are many reputable importers that will search and find just the dog you need..and sad to say there are many not so reputable,,,big money is involved in dog buisness and as always when money is involved they is always someone to make the quick buck

No, but I've also never been promised *A* particular dog in any photo. I've imported two puppies, both directly from their breeders (no middlemen). I formed a relationship with the breeders, described exactly what I wanted in a puppy (temperament and looks) and have twice recieved EXACTLY what I'd hoped for........once from Germany, once from the Netherlands. :D

I'm not sure *I* would trust an importer, I'd rather work off of personal contacts. Again, that's just me, and not in any way a judgement of those who import for others, or those who buy through such people.

one good thing of using a importer that you have found to be reputable is that they are in this country and if something does get screwed up you have a better chance of recourse, but usually when you import like boston says you get your requiremants and the picture is usually only a reprasentive of the litter
