As some of you know I lost my boy on 10/17. worst day of my 32 years. I know I NEED another rottie (not to replace) to remind me of the the special qualities inherent to this SPECIAL breed. I've got some good recommendations to a few breeders. If any of you can help I would be really grateful. Thank you all in advance.

My best advice to you would be go to a dog show. Watch the Rotties and find ones you like - then approach their handlers/owners when they're finished showing....they will be able to point you in the right direction if you are looking for a puppy. If you are interested in an adult dog, then please contact your local rescues - please, please, please, do not purchase a puppy out of the paper from a backyard breeder. Best of luck - I just LOVE puppy searching!!!

I have a cute little rescue puppy. She is only 13 weeks old. Already started well into the house breaking. She'll be posted on the ssrr.org page in a few weeks after she gets spayed.

There must be a state or local AKC sanctioned Rottweiler club, if you can't get to a dog show soon. Either looking online, or checking with the AKC...you should be able to find one. That way you can network with local breeders and visit with their dogs.

That's what I did when I found Cooper.

I'm very sorry about your Nico, and I understand about wanting a new dog to continnue the tradition.

There will be 4 days of dog shows just outside Philadelphia Nov 13th through 16th, held in the Fort Washington Convention Center (exit 26 of the PA turnpike).

The advantages of those shows (Sat is the Philadelphia KC, I believe) is that they are benched shows- you can meet all of the dogs/bitches entered and their owners/handlers/breeders.
