Hello,
Can anyone tell me what the numbers/letters mean on an AKC pedigree?

For instance: WP961120/11

and

WF981867 1-89 OFA24G

WP961120/11 is the individual dogs registration number. Looks like there were 11 in the litter.

WP981867 1-89 OFA 24 Good means that dog’s the hips were certified as good at the age of 24 months. I have no idea what the 1-89 might refer to as none of the dogs were were even born at that time.

Looking at the OFA site, the dog's name was Brandy Hills Consiglieri Giacomino(born 5-2000). His sire, Amadeus (born April 94 had good hips bad elbows. His dam, Brava (born June 96) was cardiac clear, good hips, elbows not reported.

The first set of number are your dog's registration number, the last two numbers are the number the dog was in its particular litter. ie all the puppies in a particular litter have the same number with the exception of the last two which are their own number within the litter.

your second example is the dog's registration number with the date of the stud book the dog was first recorded in and the OFA certification and months of age when x-rayed. The dog must be tatooed or micro chipped for the OFA info to be on the registration papers.
