| Question to breeders ... msg As many of you know I do rescue ... but I now have the agility bug *g* ... As a responsible breeder, if you had a litter an had a very small male, one that would struggle to meet the standard - would you consider placing it with a home like I can offer - I understand many of you breed for the perfect show dog - and are concerned where your dogs go. I would have the dog neutered at 6-8mths and would only want to ILP him. All of my dogs go to the Novice level obedience as a minimum, work in Agility and work as Therapy Dogs. Please tell me as a breeder - how you would feel about placing your dog with someone such as myself? Who is not into conformation or showing - but who enjoys obedience and LOVES agility? Just curious. Thanks Lisi

| I will be in a year. My dream is to be able to get a pup in while Kumba is still alive and active, he is such a good influence on my dogs (as apparent by my BC) his confidence and patience seems to rub off on them. By then my BC will be two years old, and she's already training with Excellent courses and will start competiting once I'm moved and settled at Plano (2 more months). I want a young dog so I can start the confidence young, as with my BC - I took off the first 4mths of her life from work, I believe that time is worth is the critical time. she went everywhere with me, at 5mths old - she had completed her basic obedience and at 6mths was working on basic agility things (planks on the ground, ladders on the ground, walking through tunnels - and learning abut contacts (no jumping until she was 10mths - and then only 8"). At 6mths she knew the different between 'heel' and 'way heel' (right side) - at 8mths she had figured out 'switch' etc. My reasons for wanting a rottie is because I'm in love witht he breed, but would love a small, slight rottie to prove to these agility ppl Rotties can weave with style *G* (it's like the "white men can't jump' theory - ya know *G*). Plus my family will always be a Rottie and a BC - they compliment each other so well, and their characters reflect each side of my personality *G*. So yes, keep me in mind in 12mths time when you have a small male who you think could go to the top of agility - and who shows a lot of confidence as a pup! My only stipulation is I want a block head *G*. If i wanted a small 'american' looking headed pup - I could find one through rescue - but after the amount of time and energy I've given to rescue - I believe I deserve to have a 'new off the lot - with maintenance records' rottie :D Lisi
